The European Union has announced supporting the renewable energy sector of Nepal as a part of celebration of the 50 years of diplomatic ties.
“Team Europe will continue to support Nepal in three key areas: inclusive green growth, human capital development, and good governance. The EU Global Gateway, our new comprehensive approach to investing in development, will support renewable energy, where Nepal has massive potential,” said the EU Ambassador to Nepal Veronique Lorenzo, addressing a press meet in Kathmandu on Thursday.
The Union has decided to celebrate the anniversary for a whole year with the Nepal European Union Film Festival (NEUFF) starting on March 20, Europe Day on May 9, the EU-Nepal Business Forum and Fair on May 15 and 16, a photo contest along with its exhibition in August, and the Erasmus Road Show throughout September in all seven provinces, which would conclude as the “Study in Europe” Fair.
