Renowned world record climber and mountain guide, Tenzen Sherpa Lama, has been reported missing after an avalanche on Mt. Shishapangma in Tibet.

Tenzen Sherpa (Lama), a world-record climber and mountain guide, has been reported missing following an avalanche on Mt. Shishapangma (8,027 meters) in Tibet, China.
Alongside him, American national Gina Marie Rzucidlo is also missing as a result of the avalanche, which occurred on Saturday on Shishapangma, the 14th tallest peak in the world, according to the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation. As of now, their whereabouts remain unknown.
The Ministry issued a press release confirming the situation and also reported that Karma Gyalzen Sherpa, Mitra Bahadur Tamang, and Kami Rita Sherpa have sustained critical injuries in the same avalanche.
Efforts are underway to search for the missing climbers, and some of those caught in the avalanche have been rescued and are receiving medical treatment.
The news of the missing renowned world-record climber Tenzen Sherpa and the American climber has shocked both the Ministry and the entire mountaineering community.
Additionally, the Ministry mentioned that another guide, Mingmar Sherpa, and a U.S. national, Anna Gutu, were found dead in the same avalanche, and they had been missing since October 7th. The incident serves as a reminder of the unpredictable and perilous nature of high-altitude mountain climbing.
